Presenting:

Isabella O'Dowd
Climate Change Specialist, WWF-UK
Responsible for working on net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in the UK and WWF’s power policy. Over the last year Isabella has led WWF’s work on net-zero, encouraging the UK government to set an ambitious net-zero emissions target in the UK to keep warming below 1.5 degrees and is now working on green recovery. Previously she has worked on areas such as Coal to Clean and carbon intensity with National Grid. Prior to joining WWF Isabella spent over two years working as a Policy and Business Analyst at the UK Solar Trade Association.

Simon King
Director of Sustainability and Social Value
Simon King is Director of Sustainability and Social Value at Mitie, the UK’s leading facilities management company. Simon is responsible for leading Mitie’s industry-leading ‘Plan Zero’ commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2025. This includes a pledge to switch its entire fleet of 5,500 cars and vans to ultra-low emission vehicles by the same date.
Prior to joining Mitie, Simon held many senior roles in procurement and fleet management, including Global CPO for Tata Global Beverages, Group Procurement Director for Dairy Crest and across multiple areas for Coca-Cola Enterprises.

Pradyumna Pundit
Managing Director, Sustainability and Energy Services
Pradyumna has over 20 years’ experience in the engineering and technology sector, working in a number of roles, ranging from new business development to operations. Pradyumna joined Mitie from Schneider Electric, where he served as Vice President of Digital Energy for UK & Ireland, responsible for developing energy management and optimisation services. Prior to this, Pradyumna worked for The Tata Group and Honeywell Building Solutions, where he held commercial and operational roles for advanced software engineering services, covering the manufacturing and construction sectors.

Tim Howell
Managing Director, Mitie Landscapes
Tim joined Mitie in 2002 to launch the landscapes business. Over the past decade he has developed the strategic direction of the business to help realise substantial growth help realise a substantial growth rate of over 30% between 2010 and 2012 alone. The business delivers grounds maintenance and landscaping, winter services, gritting, and tropical interior plants solutions to a range of blue chip financial organisations, retail groups and property management companies throughout the UK.

Michael Taylor
Managing Director, Mitie Waste
Michael’s key to success is in designing programmes that not only deliver on our client’s specified requirements, but promote business sustainability through robust long-term planning and strategy.
Michael joined Mitie’s Waste business in September 2006; bringing over 20 years’ experience in the waste industry to the company. He has a considerable knowledge of all aspects of this specialist business and has worked in various operational and sales roles. Michael’s expertise within the facilities waste business has assisted Mitie in the growth of the business throughout the UK.
Mitie Waste is the single biggest waste outsourcing organisation in the UK market. Since Michael has joined, the business has developed key specialist areas such as hazardous and industrial waste management and, in the process, has attracted some of the industry’s top professionals.
